DN Capital, a regular supporter of The NextWomen and member of the investment panel at our January pitching competition, last week announced the completion of the sale of portfolio company Datanomic to Oracle Corporation.

Founded in 2001, Datanomic specialises in developing data profiling and enhancement solutions.  The company is led by a female chairman, Tina Rogers, who has held multiple chairmanships specializing in growth, both organically and by acquisition, with companies varying in turnover from £1m to £150m.

DN Capital, the international early stage and growth equity investor and backer of leading global digital media companies such as Shazam, Digital Chocolate, OLX and Endeca, was a significant shareholder in Datanomic and the only institutional investor. Following this transaction, DN Capital?s second fund (DN Capital GVC II), which made its first investments in 2008, has already paid back the vast majority of invested capital and is showing clear top quartile returns to investors.

Following the sale of OLX to Naspers in August 2010, the sale of Datanomic to Oracle is the fifth exit for DN Capital GVC II. This is also the seventh exit for the DN Capital Group in the last 14 months. In addition, DN Capital has made six new investments in the last twelve months and added key operating executives to its advisory team, including Maria Molland as Venture Partner in May 2011.

Maria is a veteran executive from the digital media space with fifteen years of experience. Most recently she was the Global Managing Director of Lipper and Digital Ventures for Thomson Reuters. Prior to that, she was the SVP and Global Head of Strategy and Business Development for Reuters Media. Prior to Thomson Reuters, Ms. Molland was the General Manager of Marketwatch and Barron's Online for Dow Jones as well as the Head of Strategy and Business Development at Yahoo Finance.

Amber Rose's nude photo scandal has caused her to spend the last few days in tears.

The model was distraught after someone she "trusted" leaked explicit pictures of her online ? even though she knew the intimate snapshots might one day be shared with the masses.

The X-rated photos, which show Rose fully-nude and touching herself, were used in a MediaTakeOut.com story earlier this week that claimed she had sexted the images to Nicki Minaj's boyfriend.

Both Rose, 28, and Minaj, 26, denied the report was true. The singer remains happily dating her boyfriend, Safaree Samuels, while Rose is still in a relationship with rapper Wiz Khalifa.

But even a false story can cause significant damage.

"The company that I was working with no longer wants to work with me because of these pics and that prevents me from getting money to take care of my family," Rose complained on Twitter Wednesday.

Rose, who later clarified that she wasn't dropped by her modeling agency, explained that the pictures were more than two years old and had been "just sitting in my computer."

"I trusted someone that worked 4 me & allowed them to use my laptop a million times," the beauty said. "I caught this person sending my pics to themselves and I fired this person immediately."

And Rose admitted she knew the pictures, unfortunately, would eventually make their way onto the web.

"Wiz & I & both of our families have known about this for 2 months now," she said. "We tried to prepare ourselves for this day."

As it turned out, nothing could prepare Rose for the pain she's felt since the leak actually happened on Tuesday.

"I'm really hurt & embarrassed because I have so many young girls that look up to me," she tweeted.

"I know I'm not the only girl in the world that has taken pics like that but they were very private," Rose said. "I'm sorry for letting my young Rosebuds down."

Minaj expressed surprise, however, that anyone believed the story was legitimate in the first place.

"I don't address dumb sh-t," she tweeted Thursday, adding, "I always assume intelligent ppl understand these 'stories' are 4 entertainment purposes only. But clearly [not]."

Minaj, who warned that "KARMA is a b-tch" and "every lie u print will come back to you & your children in one way or the other," explained why she felt compelled to speak out about this rumor when she's often the victim of so many other false stories.

"4 da record, only reason I addressed this is b/c its costing some1 their job," she said.

And though Rose wrote that she "cried for the past 2 days," she said she knows ? eventually ? this too "shall pass."

Soap star actor Jack Scalia, who once was Susan Lucci?s love interest on ?All My Children,? began two charities and now doesn?t know where the funds obtained have gone.

The actor began a 9/11 nonprofit organization for military vets and 9/11 victims, raising over $100,000 but has no idea what happened to the money.

The IRS has taken away Scalia?s tax-exempt status from his 9-11-01 Lest We Forget charity because it failed to file a single tax return for a decade.  And Scalia?s Operation American Spirit charity, that was supposed to help wounded veterans, was suspended by California authorities because of unpaid taxes.

Scalia said the charity collected money through events but doesn?t know how much money they received or where it all went.

?A little bit came in and went back out,? the actor said.

Kate Moss brought an understated amount of glitz and glam to her wedding Friday.

The supermodel, 37, tied the knot with her boyfriend Jamie Hince of the band The Kills at a church in Gloucestershire, England.

The couple became engaged in February, after reportedly meeting in 2007.

In a cream-colored, sleeveless vintage dress designed by her longtime friend John Galliano, Moss walked down the aisle after her 15 ? yes, 15 ? bridesmaids.

One of the young helpers was Moss' 8-year-old daughter, Lila, from her relationship with Jefferson Hack, who was also in attendance.

Moss' gown featured an overlay of gold embroidery and rhinestones with a matching veil that extended all the way to the ground.

The bride's something blue? Her shoes, according to the Daily Mail, which reported that she wore a pair of custom-made Manolo Blahniks with a blue insole.

Hince, 42, was decked out in a light blue Stefano Pilati for YSL suit with a pin-striped, button-down shirt underneath, paired with a polka-dotted tie.

Locals and fans alike crowded along the street where a fleet of Rolls-Royces escorted guests to and from the nuptials. A reception was to be held at Moss' estate.

Among the reported celebrity guests were fellow model Naomi Campbell (in a Givenchy outfit), Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour and famed photographer Mario Testino.

"It was a wham bam rock 'n' roll marriage," a source told Us Weekly. "She came out of the church with the bridesmaids and just snogged his face off."

"Then the doors to the Rolls-Royce opened and rock music blared out for everyone," the source added. "It was a 'Wow, Kate Moss is married' moment."

The festivities will reportedly continue throughout the whole weekend. The Daily Mail reported that the celebration will possibly include music from the likes of Iggy Pop, Beth Ditto and Snoop Dogg.

Locals have already given the weekend a special name: "Moss-stock."
